**【Street Solidarity in Sutton for Joshua Wong | 30 Years Old, Still Not Free】**
Joshua Wong turned 30 on 13 October, but he remains behind bars. From joining Hong Kong’s democracy movement at a young age to being imprisoned today, some of the most precious years of his life have passed without freedom.
Hongkongers in cities around the world have held events in solidarity with Joshua. I hope people in Sutton will also stand up and help remind the public that many political prisoners in Hong Kong remain behind bars.
That is why we are organising a public solidarity action on Sutton High Street.
**Date: Sunday, 1 November**
**Time: 12:30–2:30 pm**
**Location: Outside St Nicholas Shopping Centre, Sutton High Street**
**This is not an action for the sake of holding an event.**
We are using Joshua Wong’s case as the starting point for a longer-term goal: the **Hong Kong Political Prisoners Solidarity Initiative**.
Through continued street actions, we hope to remind the public of Hongkongers who remain deprived of their freedom, keep attention on their situations, and speak up for them.
This is more than a one-off solidarity event. We hope it will become an ongoing campaign that Hongkongers in different cities can take part in together, so that political prisoners are not forgotten.
You do not need extensive experience in activism, nor do you need to know the details of every political prisoner’s case. If you care about Hong Kong and are willing to stand up and show your support, you are welcome to join us.
If you live in Sutton or a nearby area, I hope you can spare a little time on Sunday to come to Sutton High Street and join us in speaking up for Hongkongers who have lost their freedom.
**I would especially like to invite friends from Sutton’s churches. If you have time after Sunday worship, please come and stand with us in support of Joshua, whom you knew through your church community, and all Hongkongers who remain deprived of their freedom.**
Whether or not you attend church, if you care about Hong Kong, you are welcome to join us. Groups interested in supporting this initiative are also welcome to contact us so that we can work together to keep the **Hong Kong Political Prisoners Solidarity Initiative** going. Our support should not end after one day; it must continue.

Let us not allow time to diminish what they have suffered, or let the world forget their names.
May the day come when we can witness them regain their true freedom.

所以，我們決定在 Sutton High Street 舉行一次公開聲援行動。
