👏 about right 👏 RE: The Iran War & the Midterms We all agree that Trump knew the Iran War would tank the midterms. Does anyone disagree? I did not think so. So, since we all stipulate to the above fact, that leaves really only two possible explanations for the war: Trump thought indulging a bunch of neocon advisors on a wholly questionable useless, endless war was worth tanking the midterms. -or- The intel that Trump had at hand was so compelling that it represented an existential threat to humanity and he had to choose between saving humanity and winning the midterms. (Remember, the Iranian mullahs want nukes so they can use them to precipitate Armageddon and the Twelfth Imam will then miraculously arise from a well in Qom and forcibly unify what is left of humanity under the banner of Shia Islam. These are not rational people.) I voted for Trump three times because I trust his judgment. I don't think his judgment turned to crap overnight. I believe history will eventually record that Donald Trump made one of the bravest, most selfless decisions that any world leader has ever made, and history will also record the people who think the accurate narrative is actually #1 above as being complete doofuses. https://x.com/cynicalpublius/status/2118770592287695249
